Windows ME Modem & E-mail Setup
  1. Double click on "My Computer."
  2. Double click on "Control Panel."
  3. Double click on "Dial-Up Networking"
  4. Double click on "Make New Connection"
  5. For the name of the computer you are dialing enter the domain part of your e-mail address. (If your address is janedoe@oregonfcu.com then the domain part is oregonfcu.com)

  6. Press the "Next" button.phone number
  7. Leave the area code entry blank.
  8. Enter the phone number for your area from POP Locations and Numbers.
  9. Press the "Next" button.
  10. Press the "Finish" button.
  11. Right click on the connection you just made and choose properties.

  12. On the general tab uncheck "Use area code and Dialing Properties."

  13. Click on the "Networking" tab.

  14. Uncheck "NetBEUI" and "IPX/SPX Compatible" from the network protocols section of the screen.security
  15. Click on the "Security" tab
  16. Enter your full e-mail address for the user name.
  17. Enter your password.
  18. Leave the "domain" section blank.
  19. Uncheck "Log on to network."
  20. Press the "Ok" button.
  21. Right Click on the connection and choose create shortcut.
  22. Press the "Yes" button to have the connection placed on the desktop.
  23. Close "Dial-Up Networking"
  24. Close "My Computer" if that is still open.
  25. Double click on the Shortcut to the connection you just created.connect to
  26. Press connect to establish your connection.
